In this manual, we describe how to perform a DFU (Device Firmware Update).

NOTE
Please do not update the firmware of a device without consent of Bever Innovations. Always contact Bever innovations before preforming a DFU.

If you haven't used the Bever App before, please make sure you have an Bever account and are abele to login into the Bever App.

NOTE
Not all Bever Accounts for the App have the possibility to do a DFU.

Connect to the device

In this example we assume that you want to update an I-Control from firmware version 1.1 to firmware version 1.3).

If the device is uncoupled and not in an network, you will see a similar screen as the image below. The device in this guide is unsupported, but you can still update the firmware regardless.

In order to open the settings page, tap and hold the device button until a message appears which reads "Sending request to authorize". Please wait until the circular loading icon is gone. When it is gone, tap and hold the button again to open the settings page.

Once you see the settings page, tap "Update Firmware" in order to open the firmware update page.

Verify current firmware version

Get data from the device by pressing the 'Get current version' button. The question marks will now be replaced with the version number.
Make sure that the current firmware version is indeed as expected because a specific firmware file may not be supported for each firmware version.

Download firmware to device and install

Tap the 'Download' button of the required software version to download the firmware update to your device.

After the firmware has been downloaded, choose yes to start the firmware update process.

Reconnect to the device

After performing the DFU, press ok on the prompt. The app will go back to the home screen, and starts searching for the device. Please mind that it can take a while to show up.

Verify the firmware update

Select the device that you have updated and open the "Update Firmware" tab again. Retrieve the version by tapping 'Get current version'. If everything went well the version number should be updated.
